Venice - Wednesday addendum

I decided to add a few more pictures from our excellent day yesterday. We actually travelled to a couple of other islands on our boat trip to Torcello. The first picture is of our vaporreto stop, then a shot of two happy travellers on the boat. We were lucky to snag seats in the small outdoor area at the rear of the boat. Next are a couple of shots as we docked to let passengers off on Murano, the island famous for its beautiful glass making.  We liked Murano's lighthouse, but didn't have time to get off and explore the island as we were heading out much farther to Torcello. On our return trip, we did get off for a short stroll on the island of Burano, famous for its lace making.  It's visually delightful with its array of brightly coloured houses and shops. It was lucky we were running late as I did not have time to shop for the beautiful table linens and lace shawls. After all, we are travelling with just carry-on.  Oh yes, it's not just Pisa that has a leaning tower!
