Venice - Saturday, after Florian's
We made two other stops today. The first was to the Vivaldi Museum which contained a variety of historical musical instruments used in Italy. I only took one picture - of the contrabass which was made in Cremona in 1670 by the Amati family of stringed instrument makers. Our next stop was the Museum of Querini Stampalia, a 19th century scientist who bequeathed his family palazzo and amazing art to the city of Venice. This museum allowed us to see the individual rooms where the family lived housing some of the Querini furniture, as well as many stunning pieces of art. I took just a few pictures for our blog to give you an idea of what it was like. Very interesting! (And I thought the king-sized bed was a relatively modern concept.)
