A Misty Day

Yesterday was cool and misty with fog in the morning and again in the evening.  We set out to spot birds and anything else which caught our eye.  Below are random photos from our walk.

Misty morning.  The grey pebbles in the foreground are thousands of mussel shells concentrated in one area.

Uruguay's national bird: the southern lapwing.  He posed very proudly for me.

So did this house!

A lone fisherman waits with two fishing poles

Unidentified bird.  I love the way his colour coordinates with the background of shells.

Pretty flower

These flowers are used for hedges on many properties

My best shot of the day: greater yellowlegs
