A Holiday in Argentina
Argentina had a holiday weekend to celebrate Columbus Day on the same weekend as the Canadian Thanksgiving. On the Friday leading into the weekend, we thought we would would pick up free tickets to a Sunday concert at the Teatro Colon. When we went to the box office, we were told we were told that we could also get to see the dress rehearsal of the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" if we lined up on Saturday morning for tickets for a Saturday night performance. So, having become "regulars" at this theatre in a short space of time, we were in line bright and early Saturday morning. Our free tickets were in the nosebleed section, but we had a clear view of the stage and the dancing was beautiful. On Sunday, our free concert tickets for a pianist and oboist put us in a box in a totally different location in the theatre. We have now been to an opera, a ballet and two concerts at the Teatro Colon, plus have taken a tour of the building. Is this just a bit excessive?
