Day 4 of our cruise took us to the island of Aruba, one of the Dutch Antilles. Our ship docked right by the edge of the town of Oranjestad. We opted to walk to a nearby beach for a swim with Craig and Karen, and then explore the main area of Oranjestad. We saw several brown pelicans and many iguanas on our walk to the beach. The water was very warm, but an overecast sky and trees at the edge of the water to provide shade kept us from getting burned. The buildings in the downtown area were in a variety of pretty colours.
