We have settled into our apartment in Buenos Aires. It is located in Recoleta, a lovely area of the city. The apartment itself is large by Argentine standards with two bedrooms (one for David when he comes), a large living/dining room, kitchen, and two bathrooms. (We push back the furniture in the living room when we have our tango lessons.) There is a balcony off one of the bedrooms which overlooks Junin Street. There are grocery stores and fruit and vegetable shops nearby as well as cafes, restaurants and many stores. We are two blocks away from Santa Fe Avenue which is a very busy street running east and west. Our street is narrow and one way only which makes for a less frenzied environment. We are enjoying the challenge of grocery shopping and cooking many of our meals. As most of the people we come into contact with while shopping do not speak English, we are using Spanish every day. The photos below are taken in our apartment.
